Hite was arrested this week after being indicted on one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering, five counts of money laundering, one count of conspiracy to prepare false income tax returns, and 29 counts of preparing false income tax returns for the years 2004 through 2008 for 15 clients of a tax preparation she operated in Cleveland.

Lakeville Man Sentenced for Operating $80 Million Ponzi Scheme with Bank Money

Corey N. Johnston, age 41, of Lakeville, was sentenced to a total of six years for operating a Ponzi scheme that defrauded 18 lenders in Minnesota and several other states. According to the government, the lenders suffered losses in excess of $79.9 million.
